Our technicians have long experience in lost-wax casting and can help our customers to design, at least cost, the parts to be made according to the final use and the restrictions of the technique.
Enlarging the radius, creating extra thickness for machining, placing positive or negative markings in the ideal place,… are all methods that can reduce manufacturing costs and generally have no impact on the functional characteristics of the part.
PRECIMETAL has several computer-assisted design workstations (Unigraphics) for designing 3-D injection moulds.
Our CAD system can import files produced in numerous formats, such as: IGES, STL, STEP and PARASOLID.
SIMULATION OF FILLING THE MOULD AND THE SOLIDIFICATION OF THE METAL
PRECIMETAL has a modern software and performs simulations on filling the mould and solidification for the most complex parts.
These simulations quickly help to determine the best method of assembling the cluster to ensure correct supply and filling to the cavities of the mould and solidification of the metal, leading to a sound part.
PRECIMETAL works on the basis of the customer’s material specifications but is also able to offer, through its metallurgical engineers, expertise in the choice of materials and their appropriate thermal treatment according to the part, its usage criteria and the casting technique.
For limited series of prototypes, the investment cost and the lead time for producing the mould can be avoided through rapid prototyping techniques.
The wax model is made by a 3-D printer based on a digital plan.
This technique also enables different versions of a given part to be made without having to finance an injection mould, in order to perform finalisation before the launch of a larger series.
GPAO AND JUST IN TIME
PRECIMETAL uses a particularly sophisticated production planning and sequencing system, which manages all operations for all current manufacturing, with optimised deadlines.
This system guarantees the customer an OTD indicator in line with the expectations of each customer.
FINISHED PART READY TO USE, MANAGEMENT OF SUBCONTRACTING
In its production flows, PRECIMETAL includes all operations for finishing parts, carried out on site or by a network of partner subcontractors evaluated according to our strict standards and qualified in accordance with the requirements of our certifications.
The customer therefore receives the components ready for assembly at the line.
